The opportunity to encourage medical workers in the regions with ecological transport appeared thanks to the action in Belarus of the project "Development of cycling in the regions of Belarus" with the financial support of the "Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility".
The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection presented the certificates for the receipt of bicycles and bicycle parking to the employees of the two hospitals Andrey Khudyk On November 12, and already in December, employees of the Verkhnedvinsk Central District Hospital and the Goretsk Central Hospital were able to ride new bicycles to work.
In addition to parking lots and bicycles, the project team also took care of the safety of bicycles and their owners, and together with the "iron horses" hospital staff received bicycle lights and bicycle locks as a gift.
The project "Development of Cycling in the Regions of Belarus" with the financial support of the "Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility" was launched in September 2018. In total, within the framework of the project, hospitals in Verkhnedvinsk and Gorki received 9 bicycles and 3 bicycle parking lots.
