The first 25 signs of the EuroVelo-2 route have been installed

The signs were installed by the coordinator of the EuroVelo-2 project in Belarus Anton Archipenko on the territory of Belovezhskaya Pushcha: from the village of Bely Lesok to the village of Kamenyuki. The distance between settlements is about 30 kilometers. The next step will be the installation of signs from the village of Bely Lesok to the urban village of Lyubcha.

Also earlier in Belovezhskaya Pushcha there were three stands with information on the route: on the Pererovo farm and near the checkpoint in Kamenyuki and Bely Lesk.

The National Park has paved paths suitable for cyclists. Entry to the territory on your own bike is paid: 7 rubles for adults and 5 for children, and with a visit to the estate of Santa Claus 12 and 9.5 rubles, respectively. Also in Belovezhskaya Pushcha you can order several types of cycling excursions and rent two-wheeled vehicles.

If you prefer to navigate on your own, then on the site eurovelo.by you can find an audio guide on Belovezhskaya Pushcha. The route runs along such points as the Ecological Museum, the Archaeological Museum in the form of a restored ancient settlement, the Museum of Folk Life and Ancient Technologies, excursion enclosures and many natural monuments, among which there are many centuries-old oaks. The cycling route along with audio guides can be found on the official website eurovelo.by, and soon it will be presented on the international platform izi.travel.

Work on an information booklet on the section from Kamenets to Minsk is in the final stage. Prior to that, a booklet was issued describing the section from Minsk to Novogrudok. The information in the new booklet will be updated and supplemented. The booklet itself will be issued in two versions: electronic and printed. Electronic can be downloaded on the website eurovelo.by, and take the printed one in the office of the Minsk Cycling Society (Minsk, Pervomayskaya st., 18, room 504), as well as in farmsteads along the route.

Bicycle travelers will find in the booklet all the necessary information in Belarusian and English. It will provide a description of the plots by the quality of coverage, a map with plotted agricultural estates, campsites, springs and places suitable for swimming. You can also see the location of all attractions and read their descriptions.

In total, 600 kilometers of the international route EuroVelo-2 passes through Belarus. Its total length is 5000 km: it starts in Ireland, passes through 7 capitals of European states and finishes in Moscow. Now on the territory of Belarus a section has been laid from Kamenets to Minsk.

The Minsk Cycling Society is developing EuroVelo-2 within the framework of the Urban Cycling in Belarus project, which is supported by the European Union.
