In 2017, 48 Belarusian cities officially joined the international initiative European Mobility Week. For 7 days, a whole marathon of various cycling actions swept across our country. Within the framework of the project “Urban Cycling in Belarus” with funding from the European Union, the “Minsk Cycling Society” supported expertly and financially cycling events in 5 cities. We share our impressions of the brightest of them and are already thinking about what new to include in the EHM-2018

Minsk
September 22 as part of the action "Cycling to work", our volunteers handed out fruits to those who chose a bicycle for a trip to work or study. Lots of photos here.
Media persons from the capital supported the project of the Minsk Cycling Society on urban cycling "Bike and Style" (#minskbikestyle).
And in the evening September 22nd Cyclists expected a holiday on the street. Lenin and a colorful bike ride. About a thousand cyclists drove from Lenin Street to the National Library along the first lane of Independence Avenue.
The holiday was organized by the Ministry of Nature, the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the Minsk City Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the UGAI GUVD of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the Minsk Cycling Society, the Center for Environmental Solutions, Akhova Ptushak Batkashchyny and other organizations.

Autumn bike ride, stories about love for a bike, support for the #minskbikestyle campaign and, of course, a picnic with a bike family.
The bike ride was held by the Belarusian Cycling Federation with the support of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Gomel Region, USiT, the bike shop BikeService and the VeloGomel public movement.
The closing of the summer series of the VELOsemYa project took place in Beryozovaya Roscha. Balls, skipping ropes, badminton, darts ... These guys love any activity in nature, but most of all they adore the bicycle.
