Minsk is becoming a cycling city. And we are with you confirmation of this.
Today, July 15, a press conference dedicated to the launch of the brand was held at the helicopter club in Minsk #Ibikeminsk and the bike rental network “Thank you Bike”.
But first things first.
Despite the fact that the brand #Ibikeminsk launched 2 organizations at once: Group of companies A -100 and Minsk Cycling Society, #Ibikeminsk Is an independent public campaign aimed at popularizing the bicycle as a full-fledged urban transport in the city of Minsk.
By agreement of the organizers, #Ibikeminsk will not be a commercial brand owned by any one company or PR stock, but will be owned by the city. Also how brands exist I Bike New York, I Bike Copenhagen, I Amsterdam... Brands associated with the city and bicycles.
#Ibikeminsk Is a brand of the city, intended for its active use, both by ordinary residents and guests of the capital, and by commercial entities in order to promote the image of Minsk as a bicycle-friendly city.
From our point of view, the public campaign #Ibikeminsk - this is not a tribute to fashion, but real actions so that one more feature of a truly European city manifests itself in the appearance of our capital. I - this is a one, symbolizing those cyclists, which are still not many, but which are becoming more and more, and who will create our city.
We sincerely hope that the brand #Ibikeminsk will enter everyday life and become the hallmark of Minsk.

As part of the brand launch #Ibikeminsk the following events are planned for this July:
Free bike rental "Thank you bike" from company A-100 and JSC "Motovelo" - manufacturer of bicycles AIST... From July 11, on the central avenues of Minsk there will be rental points where you can take a bike every day. "For thanks"... In addition, on Saturdays, bicycles will be issued free of charge at A-100 petrol stations. Thus, about 160 bicycles will participate in free rentals.
On biking Saturdays at the bike rental point in Victory Park an entertainment program and master classes await you. Organizers - Minsk Cycling Society and A-100.
Urban Cycling Survey from the Minsk Cycling Society (from 16 to 19 July 2014). The purpose of the study is to determine the dynamics of the development of cyclization in the city and collect the data necessary for the further development of urban cycling infrastructure.
Competition "Business bike", which runs from April 24 to July 24, 2014, organically becomes part of the campaign.
In early August, a workshop “How to create a city's bicycle infrastructure for designers” will be held. The aim of the workshop is to meet with those designers, architects, urbanists who are engaged in the design of urban space, transport infrastructure, bicycle parking, etc. and exchange experiences with them, formulate the request and requirements of cyclists.
