It turns out that for children with mild to moderate cerebral palsy, in many cases, cycling is easier than walking. In addition, this is one of the few types of physical activity available to them. That is why active women from Minsk started raising funds to buy comfortable bicycles for their former wards from the orphanage.

That is why active women from Minsk started raising funds to buy comfortable bicycles for their former wards from the orphanage.
Whose initiative is this?
The gathering is carried out by several senior friends of recent graduates of the State Institution "Ivenets Boarding House for Children with Disabilities with Physical Disabilities".
What problem does this help solve?
It becomes easier for the graduates of the orphanage-boarding school with mild and moderate cerebral palsy to adapt to life in society and feel like full-fledged residents of the city. There are four girls, they are from 20 to 24 years old. Now they are all getting a specialty or working in Minsk.
What is the essence of the project?
To include people with disabilities in an active lifestyle, they are offered free bike rides in the green parts of the city. These cycling trips become not only pleasant physical activity, but also allow you to learn more about the city and the suburbs.
Where is it done?
Favorite routes - to the Minsk Sea and Tsnyanskiy reservoir.
What are the funds for?
The raised funds will be used to purchase three bicycles with a low frame (3 * 600 rubles), as well as the necessary components for them: spare cameras, a bicycle pump, front and rear lights, bicycle locks.
Unfortunately, bicycles with a low frame are extremely rare in bike rentals. Riding bicycles with a high frame is inconvenient and even dangerous for children with cerebral palsy. And due to low income, graduates of the boarding school cannot afford personal bicycles.
