This task, as the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-Novosti" reports, was outlined today by the chairman of the Minsk city executive committee Nikolai Ladutko at an operational meeting in the city executive committee.
Sales of bicycles are growing in the capital, he said. With the arrival of spring warmth, many Minsk residents switched to bicycles. However, it is not always possible to drive through the city without obstacles. The task of the city authorities is to create the necessary conditions for cycling. N. Ladutko instructed public utilities, together with public organizations, to analyze existing cycling patterns in order to create a barrier-free environment for cyclists. Within two weeks, in each administrative region, such a scheme and a list of relevant events must be prepared, which must be completed by the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.
