 The team of the Minsk Cycling Society organized an internship in the EU countries
This week, employees of the Minsk Cycling Society are gaining experience about cycling infrastructure through internships in organizations in Germany and Holland. Together with us, representatives of the traffic police, BNPP, For VeloBrest and Velo Grodno.
The internship was organized by the Minsk Cycling Society with the support of the European Union within the framework of the project “Urban Cycling in Belarus”.
► FOR ”transporting a bicycle in public transport
This week, the Minsk Cycling Society launched an entire campaign against the ban on transporting bicycles in public vehicles.
We and our partners from other cities and organizations wrote letters with our proposals to the Ministry of Transport and Communications. In addition, we have created a public petition, and also connected the press to the solution of this issue.

Largely thanks to all these actions of the employees of the Minsk Cycling Society and our partners from other organizations, the ban on the transport of bicycles from the rules removed.
This is an important achievement, but we must not relax as we do not know the rest of the document.
► Bicycle tour with a tourist from France Bastian
Cold and rainy? Not for traveler from France Bastian.
The Frenchman arrived in Minsk on the evening of October 30, and on the 31st the members of the Minsk Cycling Society organized an excursion for him.
We rode with him around the city - we took him to our public bicycle workshop Bicycle kitchen "Garage 38"showed sights and infrastructure.
The Frenchman said that churches and buildings are the same everywhere and that he is more inspired by communication with people.
- If not for the company, then I would be sitting at home in a laptop in such weather, - admitted the Frenchman.

► A cycle path was opened at the “ex-Kempinski”!
On October 31, a cycle path was finally opened near the long-term construction "ex-Kempinsky". Athletes are already training on it and cycling amateurs ride on it.

► Learned "public opinion" about the best cycling events and solutions
On the Forum "PraRovar" We will reward the best cycling initiatives / events / solutions / actions. Hence the new topic of our meeting on Thursday “What are the most important and memorable cycling events and decisions in Belarus?”.
November 2 we remembered together, all the good things that happened in cycling Belarus in 2017.

At the end of September, the Public Association of Cyclists "VeloGrodno" turned to the Bus Depot and Trolleybus Depot with a request to take into account the placement of the schedule on the poles, taking into account the height of cyclists moving on the sidewalk (approx).
Slovak company Kinazo Design presented the world's first electric bikeprinted on a 3D printer.
The printing was done using an industrial 3D printer Concept Laser X Line 2000R, owned by the German concern Volkswagen.
