From 16 to 22 September 2014 Belarus will join the international campaign “Mobility Week” for the second time. This year "Week" is held under the slogan "Our streets are our choice" and is aimed at solving the ecological problems of the urban environment by the efforts of the citizens themselves.

September 16-22 2014 Belarus will join the international campaign “Mobility Week” for the second time. This year "Week" is held under the slogan "Our streets are our choice" and is aimed at solving the ecological problems of the urban environment by the forces of the townspeople themselves.
Master classes on comfortable city infrastructure from Minsk and international experts, lectures, discussions, a hotline on urban issues, a thematic screening and a whole movie night, a mobility competition for business companies and the first walking marathon around the city. This and much more was prepared for the "Mobility Week" by the organizers: the organization of the "Green Network" partnership together with the Minsk Urban Platform. The events will take place in Minsk, Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Baranovichi.
Anyone can join the Mobility Week - all events are open to the public!

Public presentation of the program for the whole week, discussion on the topic "Organization of urban space according to environmental principles."
Participants: experts in the field of urban studies ("Minsk Urban Platform"), ecologists, representatives of state bodies, all interested citizens, the media.

Bicycle excursion "Mensk Torgovaya" from the team "Menski Velashpatsyr".
"Mensk Torgovyi" is a bike story about how Minskers of past centuries bought and sold, traded and bargained. The organizers are confident that a bicycle is a particularly convenient form of transport for exploring the city: small but important details will no longer escape the eye of a traveler, and subtle nuances in quiet courtyards can sometimes say more than pompous monuments in the central squares.
The duration of the excursion is 3 hours, the mileage is 12 km.

"In terms of climate, why are we doing so little when we know so much?" The filmmakers are confident that we are the first generation to witness shocking climate change, and we are the last generation that can change this situation and affect the crisis.

The first "Minsk City Walking Marathon" with the City Forester (Igor Korzun).
The walking marathon will take place in the most beautiful squares, parks and embankments of the city. During the walk, you can learn many amazing stories and new facts about city trees and the history of the city. You will learn about those places in your city that you did not even know about. And after the excursion, you will definitely start walking more and discover new Minsk every day.
The marathon route will be 42 km, start from the main entrance to Gorky Park, finish at Lake Komsomolskoye.
September 22nd:
Holding the competition "The most mobile company" in Minsk.
Participants of the competition need to come to work by bike on September 22. The more employees of the company come to work on a bicycle that day, the more likely it is to become the winner of the competition. The winner will receive from the Green Network a special certificate of the Bicycle Friendly Company, as well as a bicycle parking near the office.
