"A big breakthrough in the capital was the bicycle path," noted Alexander Petrov. "When it was started, there were many opponents and skeptics. But it turned out that the bicycle path put half of the city on bicycles, psychologically turned the townspeople towards this type of transport. And now the main thing is not to stop, to develop it - it is already crowded on it today, as cyclists say. I think now it is necessary to arrange thematic routes so that people can go to work, to shops, expand the system of guarded parking lots, and rent bicycles. "
According to Petrov, while the construction of bike paths is not a necessary regulatory element of the residential environment of the microdistrict. "But we provide for such an opportunity - the width of the sidewalks is being laid, which will later allow some of them to be allocated for a bicycle path," he said.
