On August 18-20, cycling activists are invited to the first "Bicycle Camp"

   

       

Do you want not only to ride, but also to develop cycling in your city? We will teach!
On August 18-20, the Minsk Cycling Society will hold a training camp. Cyclists from all cities of Belarus will be able to gain knowledge about where to start cycling activism, how to find partners for events and how to create a team of like-minded people around them.

On August 18-20, the Minsk Cycling Society will hold a training camp. Cyclists from all cities of Belarus will be able to gain knowledge about where to start cycling activism, how to find partners for events and how to create a team of like-minded people around them.

If you want to take training within the framework of a cycling camp, please fill in questionnaire until August 6. On August 8, you will be informed of the results of the selection of participants.

A total of 20 cyclists, selected on a competitive basis (conditions in the questionnaire), will take part in the cycling camp. Participation in the event is free. The organizers provide food and accommodation for the participants, as well as compensate for travel expenses. Accommodation in a tent camp.
Attention! The bike camp will take place next to Cycling, but according to their own individual program. In the evening, the participants of the Bicycle Camp will be able to join the vacationers at the Bicycle Summer.

Location bike camps - Minsk and Minsk region (Shabli farm).
As experts the event will be attended by experienced foreign bicycle activists, as well as representatives of the Minsk Cycling Society, Velo Grodno, For led Brest, Interaction,  Adventure Racing Federation.

The event is designed for people who want not only to ride pokatushki, but also to do something more to develop cycling in their city.

The event is held within the framework of the project "Urban Cycling in Belarus" with financial support from the EU. The goal of this project is to promote the development of urban cycling in Belarus through improvements in legislative and regulatory acts for cycling infrastructure at the national and regional levels; increasing the efficiency of organizations in the field of promotion and development of the bicycle transport system; ensuring the active participation of local residents in drawing the attention of city authorities to the rights and opportunities of cyclists. The project will be implemented in Belarus in 2017-2019 by the Center for Environmental Solutions and the Minsk Cycling Society with financial support from the European Union.
