The first meeting of the members of the NGO "VeloGomel" will be held on January 26
All interested parties are invited to the first part. The VeloGomel team will tell about the activities of the public association, show presentations prepared for the PraRovar forum. Then the members of the association will resolve issues related to the activities of the organization. During the year 60 people officially joined the organization. Congratulations, colleagues!
Third cycling marathon "Winter minus one hundred"
On January 19, the winter amateur marathon "Winter minus one hundred" starts in Vyazynka. Adventure Racing Federation prepared a real winter adventure for the participants. Distance for cyclists: 100 km of an unmarked route from the museum in Vyazynka, through the village of Zhukovka to the finish at the Uruchye metro station. Join as participants and volunteers! Children's sports morning on balance bikes
Minsk runbike club SportKids.by does not close the cycling season and invites the smallest cyclists (from 1.5 years old) to the Children's Sports Morning. The event takes place on Saturdays in the DiamondCity shopping and entertainment center (Minsk, intersection of Gromov and MKAD). Cost of classes for 1 hour: 7 rubles. Research about cycling in Gomel
November 2018 Center for Regional Development GDF and VeloGomel conducted a survey among residents and residents of Gomel on the use of bicycle transport. Purpose: to collect opinions of Gomel residents about the development of cycling in the city. A total of 190 people filled out the form.
Based on the results of the survey and discussion, the organizers prepared and transmitted appeal to the Gomel City Executive Committee, which asks to take into account the views of interested groups when developing action plan on the development of cycling.
Open border crossing and effective "visa-free". What is needed for the development of cycling tourism in Brest?
A visa-free entry has been in effect in Belarus for over a year. In some parts of the Brest and Grodno regions, tourists can stay for up to 10 days. Director of "For Velo Brest" Vladimir Krasko told about the stumbling blocks of visa-free travel and how their organization helps to attract cyclists to the city.
Public discussion of the General Plan was held in Grodno
VeloGrodno took part in the proofreading of the General Regulations and the Eco-Report. As it turned out, not in vain. Although cycling is being discussed more and more often at meetings and in the media, they still forget to include plans for its development in program documents.

Look for the Mogilev bike heroes via #herotut
Mogilev initiative "Tuteyshy rovar" Throughout December, she introduced her subscribers to real heroes. The initiative's team encouraged everyone who rides a bike in winter to take photos of this fun process and post them on social networks with the hashtag #herotut. Every week in Mogilev, one Hero was chosen and presented with a photo session. Photos of the heroes were posted in the group "Tuteishaga rovara" along with short interviews. You can get acquainted with the participants of the competition, find out their desires and fears related to the bicycle, using the hashtag #herotut.
Coach Rack Campaign
Can everyone get to Pushcha with a bicycle? In the Brest region, a campaign is underway to promote equipping intercity buses with bike carriers. Interim results: Belavtomaz holding promises to select a model of the bus operating on the Brest - Belovezhskaya Pushcha route in January for development work. VeloGrodno continues to teach cycling even in winter
Twice a week, adults and children come to the VeloGrodno team to confidently sit on a new bike in the spring and join the growing cycling movement.
Thanks to the financial support of the BELMED OOV "VeloGrodno" project, new modern bicycles were purchased. Now it is possible to conduct training on men's, women's, sports, city bicycles and even a runbike. Details on link.

Ecocluster Person of the Year (Brest)
