The public association "Veloklub Versta" was officially registered on December 21, 2017. It is a non-profit organization that brings together bicycle lovers and bicycle activists from Polotsk, Polotsk region and Novopolotsk.

- The name was chosen for a long time, - says the head of the club Anton Kireev... - I wanted something connected with travel, with roads, with bicycles ... In the end, we settled on the name "Verst". It turned out quite "in the subject" and even somehow patriotic. I don’t think that someone could call a club like that in Europe or America, but here it’s just right!
Now the Versta team consists of 12 founders of the club. According to Anton Kireev, in the future the club will accept all comers. This will allow not only expanding it, but also simultaneously cover several spheres of public life:
- Someone will promote the development of cycling infrastructure in the region, someone - competitions, bike rides, and so on. We are confident that we will be able to positively influence the development of cycling in the region, - the head of the new cycling organization is optimistic.
