On November 24, from 10.00 to 11.30, within the framework of the PraRovar cycling forum, in the conference hall of the IBB hotel (11 Gazeta Pravda Ave.), a presentation of the sociological research “Potential of urban cycling. Attitude towards cycling in the city. Barriers and prejudices ”. The research was conducted in Minsk in 2017.

How many active cyclists are there in Minsk? How many bicycles are there in the capital? What kind of transport do Minsk dwellers usually use at different times of the year? How do Minsk residents perceive bicycles in the city? Are Minsk dwellers ready to use a bicycle as a daily transport? What prevents Minsk dwellers from using a bicycle as an everyday transport? What problems can the development of cycling in Minsk solve? How do Minsk residents assess the city's cycling infrastructure? You can get answers to these and other questions at the presentation.
The purpose of the study is to assess the potential for the development of cycling in Minsk and find out what barriers exist for this. The research was carried out by the Novak sociological laboratory at the initiative of the Minsk Cycling Society and the Center for Environmental Solutions within the framework of the Urban Cycling in Belarus project, with financial support from the European Union.

Bicycle Forum "PraRovar" will be held on November 24-26 in Minsk and will bring together bicycle activists and experts from all over Belarus. Guests from Russia, Ukraine and Germany will act as speakers and participants of the forum. The purpose of the forum is to bring together representatives of the cycling movement, city administration and business on one platform. More than a hundred participants registered for the event.
